Description

Private tutoring is a one-on-one language programme in which participants discover their strengths and weaknesses in English and develop their communication skills.  The course also aims at building participants‘ productive vocabulary and increasing their pronunciation skills.

Each participant meets with the tutor for 1 hour per week during which various practical language tasks are completed.  Each session ends with written report on the participant‘s performance, and goals are set for the next meeting.  Participants gain access to a bank of practical tools for language development.

The course structure and content will be based on a needs analysis and skills assessment.  Participants direct their learning in collaboration with the tutor and choose the areas of language that they want to emphasise: speaking / writing / listening / reading / vocabulary / grammar

Course Information

Each course consists of 5 meetings, 45 minutes each over a period of 5 weeks.

Price: 70.000,- kr.

Course Instructor

Erlendina Kristjansson, English specialist and lawyer.

Erlendina has many years of experience in the business sector as an English teacher and advisor.  She has run private tutoring programmes for professionals and managers over the past years and also works  as a full time lecturer of business English and legal English at Reykjavik University.
